Schneider gives datacenter switchgear the software-defined treatment
Schneider Electric has introduced software-defined capabilities to data centre switchgear, aiming to accelerate site installations and facilitate disruption-free remote updates. The technology is currently undergoing a trial with colocation operator Equinix to validate system reliability. The shift toward programmable electrical equipment reflects a broader effort to minimise downtime and streamline power infrastructure management.
