AMD’s World Labs Acquisition to Bring Fei-Fei Li on as Chief Scientist

Semiconductor designer AMD has entered into a definitive agreement to purchase World Labs, an artificial intelligence research group led by Dr Fei-Fei Li. Following the transaction, Dr Li will become chief scientist at the chipmaker, which intends to integrate the startup's team to boost its internal AI model engineering capabilities.
