Google announces stable MCP Toolbox Java SDK for enterprise agents
Version 1.0 adds production-focused authentication, transport and session handling.
Google Cloud has announced the 1.0 release of its MCP Toolbox Java SDK, describing it as a stable foundation for enterprise agent integrations. The update separates client authentication from transport, supports default parameter values and improves protocol version and session handling.
The SDK also removes server-bound parameters from exposed tool definitions and warns about credentials sent over unencrypted HTTP. Google's 6 October article includes a sample Java application using AlloyDB. These are developer integration capabilities, rather than a new GPU or cloud-capacity announcement.
